Good technique is physical efficiency: learning how to manage tension, move both hands cleanly, and stop fighting the instrument. Master those basics, and you can tackle whatever you want to play.
What to expect
For beginners and experienced players alike: You don’t need to know how to play when you walk in, but you do need to be ready to practice when you leave. A weekly lesson gives you the roadmap, but consistent daily practice is what makes it stick.
Lesson Structure
Weekly, one-hour lessons are held at my dedicated studio space in East Austin (78702)—quiet, distraction-free, and set up entirely for focused practice.
Prefer to stay home? We can run sessions online via Zoom or FaceTime. If you want in-person lessons but can't make it out to the East Side, I also travel to your location for an additional rate.

I’m Lucas Carballeira—a classically trained multi-instrumentalist with a Master of Music from the University of Arizona. I’ve spent years analyzing music theory and the physical mechanics of the instrument so you don't have to guess your way through practice.
